Different Names - Guild Wars Forums

I notice many bows have different names.
(Long,Short,Ivory, Flat, ect.)
Are they different in any way ? What are the differences ? if any.

Long Bow has more range. Short bow doesnt have as much, Ivory is made of ivory, flat bow is .. flat? Other than the flat bow im sure of the rest.

the shortbow has a faster firing rate
the flatbow has the same range as the longbow
